Free Initial Consultation
We’ll talk about your project, what to expect, and how long it may take. We’ll discuss your goals, how the book might be used, and whether other family members might want to be involved. We tailor the process to fit your vision and needs.
Pre-Interview
Together, we’ll go over the kinds of questions to expect during the interviews and ensure your most important topics are covered. You’ll receive simple forms to help you create a personal timeline and family tree.
Interviews
You’ll take part in relaxed conversations—usually over Zoom or phone—
lasting about 1–2 hours each. We’ll guide you with thoughtful questions
to bring your memories to life. All sessions are recorded and
transcribed to form the foundation of your book. The number of
interviews depends on how much you’d like to share.
Prefer to write your own stories? We can help shape and edit them into
a beautiful book—no interviews required.
Editing and Revisions
We take the transcribed stories and shape them into a clear, engaging narrative. If you’re submitting written content, we’ll help refine it for flow and readability. You’ll have the chance to review drafts, provide clarifications, and ensure the story feels true to you.
Images and Illustrations
Photos, letters, drawings, and documents bring your story to life. You can submit originals to be scanned, or we can help with scanning instructions. We’ll also provide suggestions for what to include and how to present them.
Design and Printing
We partner with professional designers to create a custom cover and thoughtfully designed pages. You’ll review drafts and share feedback along the way. We’ll also help you choose the size, format, and printing options that best reflect the personality and purpose of your book.
Time to Celebrate
You’ve got a book! Wrap it up as a gift, pass it around at a party, or leave it on the coffee table for future generations to discover. However you share it, this keepsake is ready to be treasured for years to come.
